Long before Google Maps, Polynesian wayfinders crossed the vast Pacific Ocean using the stars, ocean currents, winds, clouds, and seabirds to guide them. These journeys connected people, cultures, and islands through intuition, observation, and a deep connection to nature.

As someone with Polynesian heritage, the idea of wayfinding feels very personal. I grew up between three cultures – Samoan, English, and Kiwi – and never fully felt like I belonged in just one world. In many ways, I have spent my life trying to navigate identity, belonging, and connection between cultures.
My paintings are for anyone who has ever felt caught between worlds – searching for where they belong or navigating change.

With a background in graphic design and experience running an art business teaching beginner adult classes, I feel most at home near water, sunshine, and good food.
When I’m not painting, you’ll probably find me riding my bike, skating, learning golf, or wandering through ALDI looking for snacks.
